The Challenge

At Heylen Ceramics, we recognised the challenges posed by disparate systems, resulting in inefficiencies within administrative processes. This hindered employee trust in the systems and led to manual and duplicate tasks, consequently impeding productivity. As a dedicated team, we embarked on a digitalisation/internal innovation project with the goal of mapping and enhancing administrative processes, aiming to find more efficient methods and optimize operations. 

Our role

To optimize administrative efficiency at Heylen Ceramics, we focused on two critical areas: 

  1. Increase the scalability: We implemented strategies to boost confidence in the ERP and accounting system by reducing manual work and streamlining processes. Increasing the scalability meant that an increase in sales would not necessarily mean an increase in administrative burden.  
  1. Transparency and dependency: Our solutions aimed to improve communication and reduce task dependencies on specific individuals, promoting smoother processing, collaboration, and continuity. 


Continued Improvements: Our ongoing efforts to enhance administrative efficiency at Heylen Ceramics include: 

  • Evaluating software solutions for streamlined price and quote management. 
  • Developing a roadmap for workflow automation to reduce manual tasks. 
  • Exploring integration possibilities between existing systems for improved data flow. 

These initiatives aim to optimize processes, increase accuracy, and boost productivity across the organization.
